ROOF UNVEILS NEW SUMMER 2017 BEVERAGE PROGRAM
After recently unveiling a new food menu featuring a unique Moorish-inspired concept created by Executive Chef Nathan Sears, ROOF on theWit is thrilled to announce a completely revamped beverage menu for the 2017 summer season. The menu is broken into seven sections: The Paramount Suite, Frozen Drinks, House Infusions, House Shots, House Cocktails, Culinary Pairings, and Classic Cocktails.
“The cocktail program is meant to be as fun as ROOF is,” says Piers Smyth, Manager of Operations and Nightlife. “Serious content while remaining playful and approachable, never pretentious.”
The Paramount Suite is a play on the largest, most luxurious, and dramatic suite offered to guests at theWit. Feel like royalty sipping on sharable, thoughtfully crafted large format cocktails featuring ROOF’s Private Barrel of WhistlePig from Marcellus Wallace’s Briefcase, suited for 6-10 patrons. Serving up summer sips in an Absolute Elyx signature Copper Flamingo Punch Bowl, Get Flocked offers the choice of a classic French 27 or a Seasonal Mule for up to 10 to enjoy. From high-end presentation to distinctive and flavorful taste, the Paramount Suite offers guests a unique experience found nowhere else in the city.
A favorite Frozen Drink from the new menu is definitely not your parent’s piña colada, the Adult Spring Break. Featuring both aged and white rum, pineapple, jackfruit, banana, and ROOF’s house blended mango-coconut cream, it has everything you love about the classic, with the necessary tweaks required to enjoy at an upscale rooftop nestled above the city.
A brand new House Infusion featured in this new, summer-inspired menu is the Magnificent (Chamo)MILE, a 48-hour infused beverage starring Absolut Elyx, citrus, rose blossom, and chamomile tea, specially designed with gourmet ingredients from Rare Tea Cellar.
ROOF’s House-Made Shots will have you kicking off your summer in style. ROOF On Fire! features our very own Whistle Pig Private Barrel Rye cocktail, and the Lululemon Drop, comprised of Absolut Elyx and Lavender Honey, is the refreshing boost you’ll need for a night out on the town.
Fresh House Cocktails have also been newly added to this extensive beverage menu, such as The Spanish Mistress, featuring the enticing Bacardi Maestro de Ron, Ancho Reyes, Calabrian Pepper, passionfruit, and lime. Does anything pair better with warm weather than such a sultry beverage?
To enhance your dining experience, the No-Jito, with Senda Verde Albarino, cucumber reduction, cilantro and citrus, is featured on the Culinary Pairings section of the new seasonal menu. These refreshing libations are easy sippers to compliment the robust flavor profile (incorporating cinnamon, cardamom, sumac, and black pepper) found on Chef Nathan’s menu embracing classic Mediterranean dishes.
The Classic Cocktails section includes familiar favorites such as the Negroni and Last Word, as well as their whiskey counterparts, the Boulevardier and Final Ward. We aren’t trying to reinvent the wheel here, we are just happy to keep it rolling.
