GENERAL QUESTIONS

Dress to Impress. ROOF is an upscale establishment, located within a contemporary 4-star hotel, and we love when our guests dress for the occasion and appear in fashionable attire to reinforce the upscale environment. Sport jackets and dresses are always welcome! Please refrain from wearing hats, beach attire, worn out shoes, workout attire, sweats, sleeveless shirts for men, offensive wording or depiction on any clothing, ripped or torn jeans, exposed undergarments, bandannas, and any other attire ROOF Management determines to be inappropriate. ROOF Management has final approval on any guest entry into the venue, and reserves the right to turn away guests who are determined to be inappropriately dressed regardless of the reservation status. Safety is the foundation of our dress code. Therefore, ROOF Management also reserves the right to refuse entry to any guest who appears to be impaired by alcohol or drugs, or is acting in a manner determined by ROOF Management to be threatening, combative, aggressive or disrespectful toward other guests, or any ROOF, Hotel, Security employees or other personnel.  Any exercise of discretion under this presentation code shall be applied in a gender-neutral, nondiscriminatory manner, in accordance with all applicable laws.

Cover charge subject to programming

Because ROOF is a bar/lounge, it is preferred that parents with children under the age of 21 secure reservations prior to 7pm Thursday through Saturday evenings. On Sundays’ day party, and Friday and Saturday night after 9:00pm, ROOF is for ages 21 and over.

Reservations, though not required for entry, are highly recommended for seating at a table.  Seating is not guaranteed without a reservation.

There is a time limit of 90 minutes for parties up to 4 people, and a 2 and half hours for parties of 5 people or more.

No. Complimentary expedited entry is offered to guests with table reservations only.

To ensure access to ROOF during your stay, we highly encourage guests to make a reservation by visiting www.roofontehwit.com/reservations. For those guests who choose NOT to make a reservation, we do allow access based upon a first come, first served basis.

ROOF features LIVE DJ Entertainment Tuesday – Sundays.

Yes. ROOF is offering a variety to include Neapolitan style pizzas freshly made in our hearth oven and hand rolled sushi which pairs perfectly with our classic cocktails and unparalleled city views.

Yes, we offer a variety of gluten free options including a majority of the sushi menu, salads, and gluten free pizzas by request.

Yes, we have a few vegetarian options off the pizza and sushi menus, and more items can be modified by request.

No, ROOF policy strictly prohibits any outside food and drink. We do allow birthday cakes for a “cake fee” of $5 per person.

ROOF does not allow suitcases or large bags upstairs. All guests will be subject to metal detector testing. ROOF does not allow firearms or any weapons of any kind.

TRANSPORTATION/DIRECTIONS

Take I-90/94 East (the Dan Ryan) to Chicago, exit 51B-Randolph Street, turn right, take an immediate right onto Halsted Street, then take an immediate right onto Lake Street. Continue on Lake Street for 1 mile, then take a left onto State Street. Hotel is immediately on the right.

Take I-90 West to Chicago, continue for exit 51H for I-290 / Congress Parkway. Continue for 1.5 miles & take a left onto State Street. Continue for 1/2 mile, hotel is on the right just past Lake Street.

Take I-290 East – the Eisenhower to Chicago. I-290 will become W Congress Parkway. Continue 1/4 mile on Congress Parkway, turn Left onto State Street & continue for 1/2 mile. Hotel is on the right just past Lake Street.
